Protect Your Growing Investments
Vibrant, well-maintained landscaping will enhance the beauty and value of your property. That is why it is so important to nourish and protect it from pesky diseases, hungry bugs, and the harsh winter weather.
Our 5-Visit program consists of a spring and early fall fertilizer, 3 insect and disease inspection and control visits, and a wilt-proofing “winter burn” protection spray treatment.
1. Early Spring (April)
A horticultural oil spray protects against damaging insects such as adelgids, aphids, caterpillar eggs, leafhoppers, mealybug, mites, scale, spider mites, thrips and whiteflies. A spring fertilizer will promote vigorously growing shrubs and trees that are less susceptible to attacks by insects and diseases and more able to tolerate environmental stresses.
2. Late Spring (May)
Insect and disease control treatments provide valuable tree and shrub care to help protect from a variety of damaging insects and combat several common leaf diseases. Insect and disease control treatments provide a healthier, more attractive landscape and protect the landscape investment against these pests.
3. Mid Summer (Late June/Early July)
Landscape will be inspected and controlled for insects and disease.
4. Fall (Late September/Early Oct)
At this point in the year, woody plants make the most efficient use of a fall fertilizer’s nutrients, which are absorbed when the roots are actively growing and shoot growth has ceased. Landscape will be inspected and controlled for insects and disease.
5. Late Fall (November)
An anti-desiccant spray creates a barrier on needles or evergreen leaves that helps slow the loss of water during the winter. Moisture loss through needles due to exceedingly dry, cold air, and wind can create an unhealthy environment for many evergreen tree and shrubs. An anti-desiccant spray slows this process down a great deal, creating a glossy shield on plants such as rhododendrons, yews, holly, or arborvitae.
